As the Christmas season approaches, public goodwill becomes stronger, with a willingness to look to the needs of others. Here at Driver's Choice Professional Designated Drivers we find ourselves in a unique situation. During the Christmas & holiday party season we are in the position to help raise thousands of dollars to provide a Christmas to children who otherwise would go without.

Whether people participate to raise funds to acquire toys for less fortunate children or help families in need, we would like to help to brighten the Christmas of as many children and families as we possibly can this coming Christmas.

We are launching a fundraiser this year in order to do just this. We would like to ask Calgarians to volunteer for one or two nights this fall to work as Designated Drivers with the funds raised going towards brightening many children's Christmas.

Volunteers working as Designated Drivers would be raising funds, while at the same time making our streets much safer during this festive season. Volunteers are required in groups of two. One driver to drive the customer requiring this service, and the other to drive the chase vehicle. The volunteers would use their own vehicle, deducting their fuel cost from the money raised. All gratuities would be kept by the drivers, unless they choose to donate them.

This is an absolute win-win situation for everybody involved, with the big winners being children who otherwise might not have a happy Christmas.

If you would like to be involved to raise funds for this Christmas drive, you may not be able to count the lives you'll save, but you will be able to count the money you raise for those less fortunate.
